Looking is such a big part of painting. It's usually something I spend a lot of time doing during the painting, and this is so important because it helps to keep my painting intuitive, and hopefully loose. (Need more looseness though, methinks). But, most of the time when I paint something, I spend a lot of time "looking" when I think it's done. Deciding if it is done and basically getting to know the work.
After a bit of "looking" and seeing it in a different space, I do feel this painting is done. Yay.
